Greeting, for the first time in April!
Today we want to share with you 10 things to do when you're bored. The worst thing to do is not do anything, because then you are 1, bored, and 2, wasting time. We rarely get bored ourselves, since we have so much work to do to run this kingdom, but we live in a house where people frequently do and that usually results in dinosaur attacks, baby dolls getting thrown at us, or our castle door getting vandalized with chalk. (It washes off of course but is still annoying.)In this list of ideas, some are suitable for kids and others are best when done by older children--but we hope you enjoy them regardless.
1: Draw a picture of your friends and family. This is what we did quite a long time ago and it ended with us discovering our art style. It is very fun to do and great to look back on. (A little kingly advice: Maybe it's best not to let the subjects see your artwork until you become better.)

2: Make posters to decorate your room. We found big sheets of paper in our basement and drew pictures of us on it and did lettering and taped it to the wall with coloured tape. It's very inspiring and looks very impressive.
3: Make bookmarks. We loved creating our own bookmarks and then printed them out, coloured them, and laminated them with packing tape so they would last longer. It was very fun and very helpful as well.
If you're interested, download the bookmarks HERE.
4: Make a little scrapbook about yourself and your life. We made a big paper notebook out of paper and took a piece of cardboard, drew a few pictures of us and the title and our names, and made holes with a hole puncher on the left side, and finally tied it together with string. We are now filling the pages by gluing in pictures, random pieces of paper we wrote on, stamps, stickers, and anything else we think is going to represent what our lives are as of right now.
5: Make cool origami. We cut out different sized squares of blank paper and wrote or drew all over them. Then we folded it into boxes, foxes, penguins, hearts, and all kinds of other things we used to decorate our room and kingdom with. They're very fun and this way, also customized.
6: Draw abstract and weird things unintentionally. Take a piece of paper and a pen/pencil and draw something, while not looking at our paper and without picking up your pen. Then take a look and pass it to someone who doesn't know what you drew, and ask them to guess. If they guess, it's their turn, if not, you go again.
7: Play the Fill-in-the-Name Story game. Check out Maïna's post to know how.
8: Go through all your papers/drawings/stories. This is more of a job and maybe not as fun, but we enjoyed doing this and it was very much needed. We divided our papers into categories and stored them in paper boxes or in our desk drawers.
9: Write a story without reading what you write. Just sit down, and write whatever your brain suggests. In the end, read it and maybe it'll be salvageable, maybe you'll find it's great on its own, maybe it'll be terrible and you'll throw it away. But either way, it'll be good practice.
10: Create an interview with interesting questions, like what do you want to be when you grow up, at what time do you wake up, what kind of pet do you want and what would you name it, etc, etc, and then fill in or give it to someone else to. It will be very fun to read when you're older or when you change. And we know because we do this regularly and have done it for quite a long time and it's very interesting and sometimes, a little embarrassing. . .
Well, that's it! The things to do when you're bored. Let us know if they worked for you.
Yours sincerely and most busily,
