Daniel and Archie are self-proclaimed kings, and they pretend to be running a company, or as they call it, a creative brand, called The Kings of Illustrations. They run it from a large closet in their bedroom and have a blog, books, as well as the books their sister Tifanie wrote, music, cartoon books, and more. They do play on words such as Inkspiration, Just Kinging around, and pheasants instead of peasants. The often revere to English historical things suck as the Tower of London, their official king names (King Edward XII and King George VII: it is also later discovered in the comment section (or scroll) that their full names are Edward Joseph Turner and George John Constable)) and more. They referred to the closet as their "Writedom" or more realistically, their "writing closet." Their bedroom is the royal court, and any instead of being a story they're counted as history, but they spell it His Story. All the followers (aka subscribers and friends suck as Harmonie, Rebecca Borlor, Izzy Makeup, Taeta Kebbeh, and maybe you :p, etc) are their subjects and Jonah and Adrien are part of the court. Adrien being the duck (Duke) of Cornmeal, and Jonah being the kingetary (secretary), and Aedem the royal admirer (adviser). They also pretend that the auto-correct and web designed is done by a spider (get it? Web designing? *slow clapping*) who's name us Spiffy-Chuck. He comes to work at night time. Then there are the cats. The Hill's cat is a legendary cat mansion (they were overrun by them back in Spain and the problem is coming back). Cats and kittens just wander around the house. Moo-Moo is the favourite, she's the official catmander (commander) and the other cats are referred to as Comedy Cats. They are known for their wild devil-like ears. And there is a glimmer of an idea for them that might end in another blog...but anyways. They appear in the majority of the books and cartoons, usually with wild expressions on their face. They're not based on real-life, however, I do sometimes get inspiration from what I do or things I see. The blog corresponds with the timeframe of books. It's of course very helpful to have read the books (I'm Civilized, Where I Come From..., That Was Not On My Agenda!, My Funny Bone, and When I Was Young...) however they aren't published yet. Facts and Facts also explain how Daniel ends up being the Hill kids sort of half-brother, and he gets adopted by Mrs. Hill later on. The History of the Kings of Illustrations explains how they started their "Kingdom" and the inspiration behind it all as well. Timeframe wise, they're right after My Funny Bone, and next year, they will be during the time of When I Was Young. Reading the books will also get you familiar with people like Aedem Hopkins, The Hall family, and the other 'Subjects' who often comment. There is a post coming soon introducing them all as well as one about the Hill family. The blog is set up assuming people have read the books. I plan to publish them, however since I wrote them between the ages 12-now, they need editing. It also intended to be set up as total fiction, with no mention of me (the author) or any other real person.
Well, I hope that gives you a little bit of an idea of what all of this is! Again, if you have any questions you can shoot me an email at thekingsofillustrations@gmail.com
